How We Created GIANT Props for the Olympics (We Are Creative Works)

As part of The US Olympic Swim Trials experience in Indianapolis, we got to make a SPLASH with multiple photo-op props. In this video, we show you how we did it!

For the giant water wave prop, it all began in the design and engineering phase. Our talented team of artists and engineers captured the essence of the Olympic spirit in these props. Next, our foam sculptors brought the design to life. They put the pieces through a CNC router, assembled them, and then hand sculpted the details in every ripple and wave.

Once the bases were complete, we added a layer of hard coating to ensure durability. Then our skilled painters and graphic artists took over, transforming these raw pieces into vibrant, eye-catching photo ops.

We also created (possibly) the world’s largest swim goggles, along with the logo of one of the event sponsors.

Once every piece was finished, the only thing left to do was install these massive props along Georgia Street, just before the opening of the US Olympic Swim Trials.

When we see the joy and excitement these props bring to visitors, it makes all our hard work worthwhile. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do!
