Jay Peak Resort Increases On-Property Revenue with Indoor Mini Golf

Jay Peak Resort hired us to design and install an indoor mini golf attraction to help them boost traffic and revenue. In this article, Jaime Stenger (Director of Golf, Retail, and Resort Programming) and Jamie Lynch (Climbing & Digital Entertainment Manager) talk about why they wanted to add black light mini golf, why they chose us, and how their guests have responded.
The Problem To Solve
Jay Peak is a ski-focused resort in Vermont with both indoor and outdoor activities for guests. On their property, they have a separate building with climbing walls, a movie theater, and an arcade. To get to this building, guests have to take a shuttle or drive from the main hotel.
And this was a problem because there’s a bigger arcade attached to the main hotel itself. The resort struggled to get enough foot traffic to this separate building, so they needed something new to encourage guests to travel there.
After considering and researching a lot of attractions, they felt like indoor mini golf would be the best attraction that was family-friendly and would create enough draw to boost traffic.
Choosing The Right Indoor Mini Golf Vendor
Once they knew mini golf was the right attraction, they needed to choose the right mini golf course design vendor. Lynch has been in the arcade business for over 15 years and she knows a lot of people in the business. When Lynch and Stenger attended IAAPA Expo, they asked around.
“We heard nothing but good things (about Creative Works).”

They also appreciated that our team visited their property, saw the space, and got an understanding of their needs and vision. This helped build the trust that we could deliver on their vision.
“I feel like everybody is so welcoming and you guys have just been great to work with.”
Jamie Lynch
Guest Response and Results
The 1980s-inspired mini golf was installed and opened just before the Christmas season rush in December 2024. From the moment it opened, the guest response has been amazing.
“They have loved it. I don’t think I have heard one complaint or negative thing about that course.”
Jamie Lynch
The indoor mini golf solved Jay Peak’s problem by driving a lot more traffic to the building. And once guests arrive and pay for mini golf, they almost always spend money on other activities like climbing walls. This single attraction created a dramatic improvement on their indoor revenue stream.
“The initial numbers through the Christmas holiday and beyond were fantastic.”
Jaime Stenger
Both Stenger and Lynch are happy with the attraction, the results, and their experience working with our team.
“I would recommend them highly. It was a great experience.”
